West Glasgow Community Health and Care Partnership (CHCP) has a
large population of young people, many of whom live in 15% of the
most deprived areas in Scotland. There is a clear correlation
between deprivation and poor health. Addressing issues
relating to alcohol is one of the key priorities for the NHS and
Scottish Government.
The Alcohol in my life project is part of West
Glasgow CHCP's Health Improvement and Inequalities campaign
designed to raise awareness of the issues related to underage
drinking.

Young people in the West of Glasgow have taken a stand against
underage drinking in a new dvd "Alcohol in my
life". The dvd is part of the Alcohol in my life resource
pack, and aims to raise awareness of the effect alcohol can
have on young people, their families and communities. It is
also designed to make young people, parents and communities think
about what actions - individually and collectively - they could
take to help ensure that underage drinking is challenged as
effectively as possible.
